Found on 1999.co.jp the parts and instructions for Dragon M113 Zelda.

Like noticed by some here before, this model is pretty simple and the forgotten fuel filler cab is a big let down. Doesn`t look better than the old crappy Italeri release.

When did the IDF change the bench seating to run down the middle rather then the sides of the rear compartment? Was that a pre-73 or post-73 mod?

It doesn't look horrible. The fuel filler cap is on the sprues in one of the blued-out areas of unused parts. Look on sprue B below the roof hatch. Based on the other unused parts, more versions are likely planned.

It looks like they used the old Tamiya and Academy as inspiration. Step 1 has you cutting part of the side plate or plates off, and removing the grease caps off the wheels.
Didn't the last versions of the M113 have external fuel tanks only, or did they keep the inside tank?
The model has potential, but it looks like Dragon stopped a little short. I'll bite the bullet and go for the AFV kit for the Zelda I have in mind.

The external fuel tanks were available with the A2 model, but not added to US M113s until the A3 upgrade. IDF M113s started having the tanks added to A2 models. Also, when the external tanks are added, the internal tank is removed.

Thank you. Perhaps Dragon used a later M113 as a base and simply forgot to add the fuel cap to the instructions. After working on a few Dragon T-34's I find that a trademark. The bench seats on the sides, instead of down the center, is a little harder to understand.
