Hi all,
Just reading excellent Son of Sherman book, and came across a variant I hadn't heard of before.
As per the topic heading, I'm searching for this hull in 1/35 but with little joy. Book says 50 produced so not mainstream, but hoped it may be available somehow fora Sherman collection.
Any idea's, thanks
Scott

Your only option may be to cut and combine two upper hulls.

Someone did do it in resin. Formations or Tiger Productions? And isn't there one as a monument somewhere?

Hello
Buy a normal Hybrid model with large hatch (recomendet - Tasca), buy additional fuselage top with small hatch (http://tasca-shop.ocnk.net/product/280) and "transplant" front.
I did so with the back of the fuselage from M4 Tamiya and front of M4A1 Italeri. It worked with a lot of putty

You should also not that: The example shown has the E9 suspension. In case you're unfamiliar with E9 Susp., this involved moving the bogies, idler and sprocket out from the hull to allow the fitting of "duckbill" extended end connectors on both sides of the track just as you see in the photo.

Thanks all, with so many resin options out there I just assumed it was a matter of identifying the correct one.
Thanks for assistance

There was a 3D-printed set for the E9 suspension.
I bought mine through Click2Detail.

When C2D folded the designer moved them to Shapeways instead.

I looked thru tmd and tank workshop...no joy. If I remember right, either Cromwell, Chesapeake, or Commanders made that small hatch hull. Happy hunting

No, it was Formations who made it. They just don't make it now.

Thanks all. An interesting discussion. I'll just build one of the many others in the collection, and keep this one on a wish list in case Formations rerelease or other option appears. Not like I have nothing else to build, but I wouldnt be alone in that situation.
Cheers
