I recently scored Dragon's M688 Lance Loader-Transporter at 60% off. While flipping through the instructions I could not figure out where the fins to the Lance missile are stored on the LT while in transportation mode. According to all the pictures they are removed. But where are they stored while transporting? I found this book on google. (Operator and Organizational Maintenance Manual, Loader Transporter M688) and I could not locate that information there either.

Anyone one know?
Thank you for the help.

I think they were in transport boxes. Sort of like very large brief cases. Dragon has made those boxes too small so the fins are larger than the boxes.

I sure wish someone would just put out a good kit! The Lance is one of my favorites! I'd LOVE for someone to put out a Pershing II kit in styrene.

I have this kit and it looks awesome... at first glance I think the conversion is better than the Dragon full kit of the loader... I have both.

The LT carries two Main Missile Assemblies and the control surfaces in those large flat storage cases. The case are stored flat against inside walls and secured with ratchet tie down straps. The PSM conversion kit is highly recommended. I got mine for the original SPL kit but I'd probably use it for the Dragon LT kit. Also recommend the Eduard PE set.

PLease let us all know if the Eduard edu36371 PE includes decals/markings for the placards?
Their Instructions for the M752 Lance Missile Launcher show usefull engine compartment mesh, tiedowns, & populates the very sparse drivers' compartment, but doesn't show if it has the data plates.

Eduard parts 7, 24 and 25 looks like data plates to me shape wise...
Maybe you could use some M113 generic stencils and placards :

Henri-Pierre (Frenchy): the instructions Lance edu36371 can be downloaded & ED parts 7, 24, 25 do look like placards, and someone has indeed used the Archer M113 generic decals on another build, to fill in for the missing decals.
My annoyance with DRAGON is the near complete lack of essential detail in the drivers' compartment out of the box, Looking at the ED instructions you see how much is missing!
My point is that for about UKP£55.00 I expect not to have to spend near the same amount again to replace details that should be there....

The Eduard PE set only includes some of the data plates - you have to provide the actual markings to go on them.

Thank you for confirming that, I suspected as much, but how much more useful the decals would be?
I am doing my Lance Launcher closed up....
