Is it worth the powder to blow it to hell? Only review I can find is a video un box of the original Kirin kit ....with no explanation, just music. I know it's from the Imperial series , so I suspect it's kludge.

It is a very old kit, based on Italeri hull, very basic detail, it would need a lot of TLC to reach nowadays standards

I bought one eons ago but never built it, even bought a Tristan marder to borrow all the lower part, but then Dragon redid the model and everything went back to the bottom of the stash

It is really awful to build.
Much bending, putty and sanding required.

Build it as a challenge/exercise for your modelling skills.
When it is finished you can use it to test painting and weathering on

I still have it as an open project on the bench..
Surely going to finish it, but for now the Firefly is number one of the list

Isn't kit 6470 the same subject, with a lot less pain?

Thanks all. Confirmed my suspicions. I've seen a couple at low prices and was curious. Have a PZKW 38t in the collection and an Aufklarungs Panzer . Figured I'd add the rest of the Czech
Connection.

The old Imperial kit (Ex-Kirin) is a dog. The etch will not bend. The detail is poor to terrible, etc. I started one and ended up taking a Dragon Marder 3 Ausf H out of the stash and scratchbuilding one using a TMD resin SIG 33 instead.

Of course once I finished it, Dragon issued a new updated kit of it

If you are interested in looking out for that kit, there are differnt versions released (a white box version and a set with an old figure kit included) There is an inbox review of the first new kit release version here:
