Very nice dio Bill ! I like the lush, tropical look of the vegetation.
How did you like the kit?
Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend !

Thanks. The kit is pretty good. I did not like the way the mounted the ERA on the turret.. you had to drill tons of holes for the mounts. Then line up everything just right to make it look like it belongs. I did not get it all exactly right. The lower hull is a dream so if you want an M-60 hull this is your kit.
I just noticed I posted the same picture twice.. let me fix that

Great build and diorama! I will now have to look up the tank and it's service in the Taiwan military. One question though.....the tank just ruined a portion of this farmer's crop. And there is not a war going on. I think he is mad!

Thanks for the complements guys. The tank is a work around by Taiwan. They were not allowed to buy "tanks" but they could get M-6p hulls and M-48 turrets. The other plus is there is more room in the 48 turret for the new fire controls. (same systems as the M1A1). I first heared about them when a gun breech exploded during a training shoot while I was there. Not long after this kit came out, and with the cool looking ERA. So on the bench it went.
The kit and base coat were done in southern Taiwan and then due to a job change it was imported (hopefully not against international arms treaties) back to the US to be finished.
PzDave... good point, but the farmer was not even considered for a second during the build. Such is the life of a rice farmer I guess.
