Just got got this on a bidding site (something like ebay);
Haven't got it yet, but does anyone know it and is it any good?
It was a real bargain (€15) so if it's crap I can't complain, but I was wondering....

If I remember the term correctly it is a “needless spray gun”, the most basic airbrush around. This one in your photo is a knock-off of a Badger I have a similar one.
It is probably the first airbrush most people start with, and I assume it is your first airbrush as well.
To answer your question, Is it any good?
I think the best way to answer that is neither. It is a very basic airbrush and as such can only do what is was designed for, namely spray large areas.
As you use it you will discover its limitations very quickly, one is it does not do detailed work period!
I have a dual action Badger 150 knock-off that does excellent (I am still practicing with it) detail work and still enjoy using my “needless spray gun” for the larger work or to spray undercoat. It is a dream to clean and the tanks fit on my dual action airbrush.
My advise is enjoy it for what it is!

Thanks for answering so fast!
Hmm well let's see what it does for the €15...
Back to the biddingsites, searching for a cheap double action...
(any suggestions?)

I have two of those. I bought the second as I broke the threads in the nozzle and didnt want to wait until my order for spare parts came through. They are an excellent airbrush and thats what I use 90%. It is a knock off badger but dont be depending on the double action. Its there but not really practical or easy to use. As for detail work .. forget it. Just not good enough. It is possible to get thin lines .. down to 3 or 4mm, but everything has to be 100% right and its not consistent or easy to repeat and get it set up the same again. For general coverage, priming etc. I use it but have since bought an evolution. Cant compare them.
They are great to use, easy to clean and now I have 2 of them. I never use the bottles. But two cups are handy for quick change of colours!
