Hey folks, had to re-create my login, I haven't posted on here in ages.
I'm hoping to find kits or high-quality die cast for HO model railroad flat-car loads; 1/87 scale. I'm looking to make a load of Canadian armour that could be by trains set in the 1980's to present - Leopard C1's, C2 etc., also M113, LAV's - whatever might be available out there (I have various locomotives for the different eras).
I wargame with Battlefront miniatures in 1/100 scale, but they're too small, so I'm hoping there's options for 1/87.
Thanks for any pointers anyone can provide!

look for Herpa, or Roco, minitanks line.
For example M113, leopard 1A3/4 and M35 are available from these lines
in 1/87 and very detailed

Great, thank you! I actually already have the decals for my Canadian force I wargame with. That's what got me thinking perhaps there's some models out there I could take advantage of.

ROCO is the way to go. Here are a few I did back in the 80's while living in Berlin. The detail is impressive considering the time frame. The biggest drawback is the tracks, but you can cut tiny pieces of Evergreen strip to replicate track pads.
US tracks. Note chocks and cables. Kadee couplers are of course industry standard:
For my Fleischmann German flat beds:
ROCO offers some of their kits in pre-painted form, but I preferred to paint them myself.
