Interesting solution but I think they've just created a overly complex, over-engineered solution to a problem that was already long solved.

Having a "pool" of CA in one of those cups seems like a good way to waste a lot of CA ...

Yep, this is one tool I can live without. I use a piece of glass from a small picture frame, a steel wire rod I've split on one end using a Dremel tool, and pointed on the other, with a small square wood dowel handle in between (keeps it from rolling) Cost was almost nothing (the piece of glass came from a broken picture frame). I just put a drop of CA on the glass and pick up the CA with my "needle". When it's time to clean up, I give the CA a shot of hardener, then use a razor blade to scrape it off the glass. I just use an Xacto knife to scrape the built up glue from the needle. This Meng offering looks like a way to waste modeling money. I suppose it's a little more "stylish" than the way many of us apply glue though.

I use a sewing needle that I've clipped off the end of the eye. I'll stick the needle into the eraser on a pencil and viola! A very nice glue applicator that cost pennies. A piece of 2 inch painters tape on my cutting pad holds the drop of glue that I'll work from. When I'm done I'll roll the tape up and trash it. Nothing complicated or expensive.

the site does not seem up-to-date, they have more tools than those on their page even Hobbyeasy sells them, I see and handle a couple in Hongkong and they are all very beautiful and very well done ... the Ferrari of tools ... but not cheap at all.

I have also seen this applicator in operation, the glue goes put on top to those 2 aluminum cylinders that you can then remove to clean them, you have the same waste to put them on a glass plate ... anyway it's stuff for "the fancy modeler with the Rolex "...

I use the head of a pin, which works nice also for styrene glue. Being domed, it leaves a small drop precisely.

I just discovered a new way to use a tool I developed for CA. I had a length of stainless steel wire, which I sharpened to a point on one end, and flat (at an angle, so it's wider on one side) on the other end. I used a piece of square wooden dowel in the middle for a handle (it keeps it from rolling and is easy to grab. But a few days ago, I happened to drop it on my concrete garage floor as I was cleaning. Like an airbrush needle, the flattened end hit the floor dead-on, bending the tip of the fine point at a right angle. When I picked it up I didn't realize it was bent at the tip, so the next time I went to use it, I found the thin CA I was working with stayed perfectly in a very small quantity at the tip-- perfect for putting a drop exactly where I want it! Sometimes accidents have "happy" consequences!

Recently I,ve been building a lot of 1/700 ship models which have very small PE details. I bought a cheap paintbrush (a house-painting paintbrush, not a model-painting one) and use individual bristles for applying single dots of CA. Since one brush contains thousands of bristles, it will probably last a lifetime! When the bristle tip starts getting a CA accumulation, I just clip off the tip and continue using the rest until it becomes too short to use. I use a milk carton cover as a reservoir for a couple of drops of CA.
