correct color for C-15 frame and engine

I'm building an IBG C15A Chevrolet truck. Do I paint the underframe black, or the color of the body of the vehicle. Also, what color do I paint the engine block? Does this apply for other WW2 softskins as well?

All Chevy engines at that time were dark gray. Frame was the same color as the body. Can't speak to all softskins.

That's really useful. I especially like the comment about the Chevy engines. I'll keep that in mind.
