Thanks for the great pics though more about the actual event would be nice. I found it weird that they would purportedly restore a Hetzer (actually a Swiss post-war version) and leave on the non-standard muzzle break which the German version never carried. The "Tiger" was more of the same postwar Hollywood desire for what they can't have. The 251 was awesome.

I also forgot to mention that it is doubtful that the Wehrmacht would have gone to the effort to do a three-colour came on a Gulaschkanone. ("How'd the men find their next meal...") And just why was this posted TWICE?

Semms to be a nice event. Im surprised that that with current "unmilitary" public mood in Germany its actualy possible to see some ww2 reenactment. I dont want to be too critical about this, but the german reenactors in those pictures should not be taken as reference. They have a lot to improve on their gear and uniforms.

As long as you "disguise" it as historical lesson, it is O.K.. From my point of view, lots of people are interested in World War stuff, but the leftist/green party/ecological movement haver the better publicity. So far nobody say a thing when a reeactment depicts Napoleonic War, 1866 Bavarian-Prussian War or 1870/71 German-French War. BTW some of the images are from an event at the Bundeswehr Infantry Warfare School.

True, I was lucky enough to be in 2013 in Lepzig during the 200 anniversary of the Battle of nations. Huge event, second only to Waterloo 2015. Tens of thousands of people in the audience. Same with middle ages and reenactment of Roman Empire. It seem to be very popular in Germany.

The Pzkpfw II replica is interesting. First time I've seen someone build it on the chassis of a Hotchkiss Schutzenpanzer SPz 11-2 Kurz. Good idea.
And of course the Sdkfz 251 is in fact an Czech OT-810.
