I am building this particular PZ III from the Dragon kit and had a couple questions:
- is the overall color just dunkelgelb? One review said panzerbraun, so I wanted to make sure
- was it just painted over dunkelgrey? Wondering if the insides of the road wheel and other places might still be grey, plus wondering if it would be appropriate to show chipping and the grey showing though in places. I can't find an actual picture of this tank. Thank

Since Dunkelgelb came into being in 1943, that wouldn't work for a vehicle marked as Eastetn Front 1942.
Dragon tend to throw some incorrect color on these generic units.

Well, when the first J's started rolling in the colors for North Africa were designated to be Gelbbraun RAL 8000 with a 1/3 pattern of Graugrün RAL 7008 on top. That was a brownish yellow so possibly that's what is being referred to?

Might want to look up 23rd panzer and see if they were supposed to deploy to Africa but diverted to Russia. They might also have received replacement equipment earmarked for Africa that went to Russia because of the extreme losses.

Diversion is not necessary. Southern Russia was considered a "tropical" zone and assigned the "tropical" paints.
