Hello,
I am going to start a 1/35 BRDM kit. Does anyone know where I can find illustrations of the camo schemes used by the Angolans and Cubans during the bush war with the South Africans and Unita?
Thanks
Benjamin

Very interesting!
I have several books about that conflict which may have pictures. "Last Hot Battle of the Cold War" was specifically about that conflict.

From the photos that I have seen from Angola during this time, all of the Angolan and Cuban BRDM-2s were a overall green with no markings or numbers.Nearly all of the Cuban trucks I have seen there have not carried no markings or numbers nether.

Here are some captured Angolan 9K31 Strela on display at the South African Air Force Museum, Swartkop :
Maybe the same camos can be used with a BRDM-2 (providing those above haven't been repainted )...

I was not able to locate my copy of "Last Hot Battle of the Cold War" but, did stumble across this one while searching. There was only one color photo of a BRDM and only one or two b&w images. As stated previously they appear to be in a single overall color.
