Looks great! The container you're talking about looks to be a canvas bucket with some gear or clothing stuffed into it; the canvas bucket was collapsabale, there is one attached to the jerrycan.

Thanks! I have thought the collapsed canvas bucket attached to the jerry can some sort of protection pad for many years. Thanks for letting me know what that is. Looks like I will need to adjust the color of it a little.

The canvas buckets varied in color through the war like most US canvas. The tan on the bucket is correct for an early bucket. Later buckets were more green.

Hi John, Randall and Lou, thanks for your education on the canvas bucket. I went ahead and repainted the bucket in light olive color. It fits the overall color tone better and is more accurate than sandy yellow. Will update photo soon.

You did a superb job on the kit-- like the canvas on the windshield (I have to try that one) the add on gear is nicely positioned and shows balance, above all, your weathering technique really shows the model off
