I was looking over the various Dragon/Cyber/? Panzer III's G's and all I have found are the very old tropical G an early G and the wading tank. The tropical kit is the way too old kit, the early G is hard to find, and over priced, so I was looking at the wading tanks.

I don't want a wading tank, and after looking at the various sprues it looks like you can build a standard G from what's in the box.

Is that true, or should I consider finding a reasonably priced early G smart kit?

Dragon 6773 1/35 Pz.Kpfw.III(5cm) (T) Ausf. G - Smart Kit

I knew I was forgetting something. I found one under 50.00 shipped, so I'll give it a try.

No luck, not in my stash.

Have you tried searching the net for the instructions? They usually show sprue images and maybe those could show if the parts for standard Ausf. G.

Found the review of the kit here, but I wasn't sure based on the pictures of the kit and instructions. I found a kit for 43.00 shipped, so I ordered it. After reading the comments from Dragon about it, they say "based on the previously released G", so with luck, it will have what I want.

I went there and looked over the instructions and sprues, and at the parts in the review here. I was concerned there is one sprue that's specific to the base G model and would not be in the diving version. After doing a comparison, and not seeing an obvious difference, I decided to ask.

None the less, I decided to get the kit, once I found one in my price range, and see for myself. Thanks for the help.
