Kylie, you link takes me to one of my figure reviews... you must have pasted the link from Chechnya thread instead the one you intended.

That's the new Leopard II with a new turret sporting the Laser Warning Receivers, shot detection microphones, latest FLIR and fire controls, and advanced armor.
As you can see, the profile is a lot lower than the boxy previous Leopard 2 turrets.

Yes, Tiger has done it before.

I think this new version has a longer barrel?

I believe this version also has Rheinmetall's Active Protection System.

Hi Mario,
That’s odd, as I had replied to the thread on figures for Chechnya some time previously. Nice review, btw.
But people are now aware of the pending release of the kit, which was my aim. Robin has a link similar to what I was trying to post. Thanks, Robin.

I have the earlier Revolution I (kit# 4629 ) and compared my kit sprues layout to the scan of the newer kit sprues layout on Moxingfans.com
The decal sheet is obviously different.
Sprue E on the older kit is replaced by Sprue F on the newer kit.
Sprue E contains parts for the main gun, the remote weapons station, and the Commanders Independent sight. Comparing the box arts between the two kits, it is quite obvious the main gun is longer on the newer kit (Evolution 2). The commander's sight and the remote weapons station seems different. There is a cluster of 4 grenade launchers on the Revolution 2's remote weapons station that is not found on the Revolution 1.
I also notice on the sides of the Revolution 2, there are sighting devices (both dead straight on the side surface and along the top edges). On the Revolution 1, there pieces that cover up the cutout/openings on the turret edge. I also see one more optical device at the front left corner of the turret on the Revolution 2. Again the older kit has a small part that covers up the cutout.
