I'm in the middle of a binge build of several M1A1 kits. One of the builds will probably depict the 3rd Infantry Division plow tank "C-1ORDER II" from the ECHELON T35013 decal sheet.
I've borrowed a plow from the Trumpeter kit. With some TLC, it came together pretty nicely. However, Trumpeter included optional parts that it called the "Gulf War" version. This includes 5 parts for running the dog bone chain in a different configuration than the more common version. This optional config appears to be closer to what the USMC uses with a much larger dog bone "roller".
So, was this alternate configuration also used by the Army? I've already built up the plow with those optional parts, so I might have to just save it for my MENG M1A1 USMC all green build. Here's the built up plow with the optional parts attached:
