looks very nice, thanks for the info.
Curiously, comes with a section of T-34 tracks for extra protection

Looks ice indeed, though the side skirts look to be attached vertically, which IMHO is wrong... They should rather be inclined towards the vehicle at the bottom.

CAD-renderings. Designer has drawn them vertically.
If they have detailed the hanging system for the skirts to the same level as the rest then the skirts will hang correctly.
The center of gravity of the plate shall be straight down from the hook it hangs on. This is not even a minor problem

Edit: See below. I was wrong

Edit again: See even further down below. Maybe I wasn't wrong this time but I hadn't got it completely right either. One hanging system results in vertical plates, the other in inward sloping plates.

I didn't say it is a major problem, but gravity won't help at all. There are upper and lower attachment points on the side skirts, and if the lower support sticks out too far (like is the case here, visible on the frontal view), then the side skirt will be vertical. Easy to fix? Probably, but at the same time something the model company could easily have avoided in the first place...

Note the size/shape of the shadow & distance to the wheels.
Compare with side view of 825 below
It seems as if there was two systems for hanging the skirts.
One with vertical skirts (images above this text) and another where the skirts sloped inwards (images below).

I could be wrong but I get the impression that sloping plates go together with pointed ends on the first and last plate.
Maybe the design was changed to prevent problems with the lower outer corners of the first and last plate striking the ground or objects.

The incline on the Schurzen only appeared wit the 2nd rail system, as used on the Ausf H.

IRC , the plates hung sloped towards the hull when using standard track , they moved them out to the second , wider position when the extended winter track was used .

Talking about T-34 tracks used as add-on armor, here are some on a Ausf H :

To my knowledge, the Ausf. G only used the Type 1 schurzen system.

Is that the same artwork that was on the fake Takom Pz. IV?

The renderings look very good; very comparable to Dragon in detail.
I would like to build one of these up and see how it compares to Dragon.

I stand corrected. I never knew there were different rail systems (apart from the details of how the supports/ attachments were made)...

I gonna tell you right up front! If Takom has anything to do with kit, I'm good for four kits if not six!

The only thing missing from the CAD's is the Filzbalgvorfilter (the two cilinders on the RHS). This was fitted to late G's...
I've posted about this on their FB page.

Modellbau König has it on pre-order.
The price looks good to me
