Hi all!
It has been a while since my last post, but here I am again with a Tiger I diorama.
It is more a vignette, than a proper diorama, but I wanted something quick and easy just to get my mojo back. So I picked the AFV Club Tiger I from my stash and tried my first whitewash.
Now, I took A LOT of artistic licence, but again the scope was to have fun and try something new.
And I have to admit that it was fun indeed!!
The model was not so good, actually: the hull was bend and not square and vinyl traks reminds me of the models I build in the '70s.... but, in the end, in my opinion it tourned out a nice looking model.
I hope you'll like it too and, again, any comment is most welcome!
ciao
Edo

Holy Double-Take Edo, for a moment I thought those monochromes were your reference images! Brilliant!

A very dynamic and well-thought scene. You have assumed that there will be depicted an ambush and there is an ambush.

Cheers

Nice job! Really tells the story and makes me want to put on a sweater.
A minor detail to think about though. Too late for this time but maybe a future reference. This is the last version built of the TigerI and so that time period means it would be painted at the factory in dark yellow. Your tank here is whitewash over dark gray. You did a beautiful job with that color scheme though. I wish I could paint like that!

The whitewash & figures look great. But the sprocket ends of the tracks should have at least a few bits of that mud/brush stuck in them. Overall though, a very nice scene!

thank you for the input!
Jerry, you are completely tight, also it should have some zimmerit on... call it artistic licence
as far as the painting, it was quite simple indeed. I used the hairspry technique and it was easyer than expected, the trick was to remove it with warm water it worked like charm!

Jack, you are completely right, also this is something I can do to put it right!

Wow! Edo this is beautiful.
What you've done by placing it w/ a background setting and in b/w is pretty cool too! Simple yet effective.

ciao Bostjan!
unfortunately I don’t havve detail pictures for the figures.... besides I am not at all good in painting them, particularely the skin is a nightmere... so maybe it is better not to have a closer look!

Dave, it was all done in Photoshop, just cut and paste and the “magic rubber” tool.... no picture for reference, no background....glad you like it!
