I know some vehicles destine for Southern Russia were painted in the colors used in North Africa. Were they also equipped with the desert filters and such too, or just the paint? I'm looking at Stug IIIs in particular. I know the 4 sent to North Africa had special air filters. If they did have the upgrades, (A) what besides the filters were there, and (B) other than trying to get the parts from Dragon, what are my options? Any A/M sets?

Vehicles designated ‘Tropen’ were intended for hot dry climates and these included the southern USSR as well as N Africa. Having said that, I think the few Zbv 288 (?) StuG sent to the latter were unique in having those cylindrical air filters on the hull as I’ve not seen them elsewhere.
