Does anyone know if there is a kit of a 1:72 scale M109A6 Paladin in existence and if there is, where I could find one? I would need two for a project that I am thinking of.

I'm not entirely sure about the Paladin availability in the smaller scale, but I can check for you. In the meantime, since you are building a Paladin...(hehe), have you by chance heard about the "Incoming!!" Campaign?? It is a communal build where all of the participant's build a model kit having to do with ARTILLERY. That also includes SPG's such as the Paladin.
We'd love to have you join our merry band. So, if this even remotely interest's you, just simply click on the 'Campaign's' button to the left of your screen and read through the intel.
After you've done that, just follow the directions and Voila!.......you're there!! :-)

ROCO did the M109 in HO (1/87) scale, and I think Panda is going to do some in 1/72, don't know of any others.

Well I'm not really building a Paladin yet. I was hoping that something would show up in the Braille Scale since money is a little tight right now. I will promise you though that if I can get my hands on two 1:72 Paladins, I will join the Incoming campaign.
