Hi all
Just not sure which is the better kit I'd like to build one or the other..
I seem to remember there was an issue with the bonnet length with one or the other kit
Any ones thoughts would be most welcome

Not just the bonnet, the whole Meng kit is stretched in length. Other dimensions are in scale, just the length is wrong and it is by a significant factor - about 13mm overall if I remember correctly and over 5mm of it is in bonnet alone... Some modelers are not bothered by it, but for me the Meng kit looks like a caricature
Panda kit is certainly worse kit when it comes to detailing and ease of build, but it looks much more like Cougar once built. It isn't entirely accurate either, as it is about 4mm too narrow, but the width issue is barely noticeable compared to the Meng length issue - at least for me it is.

Thank you for those precisions.
Several cougar kits must be released from PANDA HOBBY.
One of them looks like similar to the Meng Model kit. Suspensions and wheels probably different.

Not agree about the fact the Panda Cougar is too narrow by 4mm. Perhaps 1 or 2mm but not more (as i said before, i have the Cromwell kit that matched the blue print drawing, and the Panda unbuild kit has nearly the same dimensions).

if you go for the Panda kit, make sure you go over the instructions at least twice before starting. the instructions... are not the best

And that's because I sent Gordon the measurements for the Cougar back in '07 when one was parked a few hundred meters from my hooch. I still have the original measurements - the Panda is pretty damned close to spot on.
