The 25-65E * A-60 M728 markings in the build photo was taken from my slides taken at Schofield in 1975 or 76. Some markings details not shown in the build model are the 25th Div and 65th E insignias on the right (25 DIV) and left (65th E) turret face and the yellow painted idler wheel.
I still have the original slides.
Take care.

OK, but it may take a few days to re-scan the prints that I made from the slides and post them on Imgur.

Was the M728 used up until, or through the first Gulf War, or were they already retired by then?

Thanks

They began being phased out of most active duty units just after ODS ('90-'91), in the early to mid '90s, being fully phased out by 2000. Some may have hung on a little longer in Army National Guard units. They were still in service w/1st Armored DIV and used in the Balkans in 95/96 to demine Sarajevo international airport and in general enginneer support missions.
