Everyone looking for EAAK armor for Amtrac has one more choice now (in addition to Trumpeter kit, Kirin OOP set and AEF Designs set). Hobby Fan just released their EAAK armor set. I think it will be the most accurate, best molded and at the same time the most expensive set on the market today...
MPK Taiwan price for this new set is NT$ 1320 = US$40, but they do not accept overseas orders now and we will probably have to pay at least US$60 for this set in other parts of the world...

I've heard about this store that has the bast prices for Hobby Fan and AFV Club stuff:
http://www.ebusiness.com.tw/cgi-bin/mpk/shopping.pl
However, I haven't had the chance to do business with them, so I cannot comment on the service.

Sweet.
I have the AEF set but have't used it yet. It looks pretty nice though.
Just don't expet to get it in less than 1-2 months.

This is exactly the link for MPK Taiwan, and the photo in my post came from this website. They do not accept overseas orders anymore...

I've just looked in TRISTAR's home page, they don't have it either....whoever gets it it's going to be pricey...even with the excellent prices from TriStar, HobbyFan is very expensive...nice though....Jim

I wonder why MPK changed their polices...that really sucks since they had really good prices on Hobby Fan kits. I got all the ones I wanted from them there

All I can say is WOW. Finally another place to get what I want. I certainly am willing to pay for this kit, as long as I can get it when I want. More USMC armor = good life!

Where's all the other model manufactuer's, it sounds like everybody has been shut up on an island for years, and this is the first girl they seen. But I got to admit she is a pretty one.

What a negelected kit. I noticed the copyright on the bottom of the Tammy kit from the first issue in 1987 ( I wonder if various Chinese companies noticed that copyright stamp.....). And If I recall the second version came out in about 1993.

CMD had a couple of these down at AMPS and I got one for $45 bucks....not too bad considering that Hobby Fan Stuff is horribly overpriced.

Man - ain't that the truth! I guess I can decide whether or not to keep my Kirin set in the bin or use it when I see the HF set...

I have the AEF set and its very nice and less money. If you need the Hobby Fan set, I believe Mission Models (www.missionmodels.com) sells it in the US. They're asking for $40. The AEF set is $30. AEF also sells a set of stowage as well. Finally, I heard that Fruilissmo is doing a set of tracks for the AAV7 and Bradley, both the old style and the new style so that might be something worth getting. Wish someone would do a photoetch set.
Hope this helps.

Well, this set looks like a winner. I gave it a quick once-over. It's more than just the EAAK, new drive sprockets, hatches and headlights are inlcuded along with other details.
The best part: the bustle racks on the sides are made of resin and styrene, no bending brass for the supports!!

A little but did you get your order in 10 days from Hong Kong? There are a few things I've had my eye on at HobbyEasy, but I've been a little nervous about the order time and how long it will take for my order to make it across the pond. Also, if this is the case, which shipping method did you use?

Hopper:
Yeah it was fast 7-10 days total order time. I don't recall which method. Air I'm pretty sure.
Kelley:
Next time I have the photo junk out I'll snap a few.

Has anyone seen what is included in the newer Hobby Fan AAV7A1 conversion that has the armor mount points, but not the armor itself?
