I'm building the Trumpeter Patriot system and wonder if anyone has any ideas about the HEMTT mobile generator that should accompany the missile launcher, radar and tractors?

I've written to Trumpeter and Italeri asking if they have plans to market the EPP variant-no reply.

Any ideas if the aftermarket will provide something? The cargo area is longer, no crane ( I think) and the power plants and cable reels would be needed.

Any helpful ideas or comments would be appreciated.

I built an M977 EPP many years ago from some drawings I found on the Net. Don't know where anymore !
Here you can see some pictures of the end result.
It was one of my first tries to scratchbuilt.

Thanks everyone for the comments, info and advice. I just hope BD or someone will offer a conversion. I'd give the gensets a try but the extended load platform would definitely be beyond my skills! That said, looking at the post and chain arrangement is giving me some ideas and a little hope!

Until now I would have thought the unit on the front of the Patriot missile trailer was a generator and assumed it had enough output to handle the operation of at least the one missile unit and the radar.

Apparently in reality this large dedicated generation unit shown below is intended to power the Radar as well as the Command and Control facility.
