Can someone who has access to a real NATO scheme painted tank do me a favour. Can you measure the feathering between the colours? I want to see how much feathering there would be in 1-35th scale and test something out on a model.

What exactly do you want measured Paul? I have a new FMTV that just pulled up, factory fresh as well as an M1A1 and PLS in the bay (more importantly, not covered in snow).

What I mean is the feathered or blended area between lets say a green and a black area. It would be a couple of inches I guess. I want to divide this measurement by 35 to get it's 1-35th scale size and try an experiment with my airbrush. I am trying to come up with a good trick to getting this to look good in 1-35th scale.

Paul, you're looking at less than an inch of feathering. Closer to a half an inch, hardly noticeable until you're right on top of it.

I am no airbrush expert (haven't picked up my Badger in 12 years), but it seems like that would be hard to do. Wouldn't you almost have to tape or putty(?) over to get that effect?
