Does anyone have any info about the unique camouflage used on some of the LVTs during the Peleliu campaign?

Here's an example (of questionable accuracy?): https://tankandafvnews.com/lvt-a1-peleliu-1944/

I guess that this one, built by Steven J.Zaloga, should be accurate...

I read through the 3rd Armored Amphibian Battalion's Record of Events which did not offer any help. Dates of when LVT's were received are recorded but not their condition. I've read from another source there were several "hand me down" LVT's that received crew applied camouflage.

It is not until after the Pelilieu Operation any mention of colors is made and even then it is said they were green and being camouflaged in accordance with Division instruction.

However, it is rather uncommon for beach landing marks to be applied to the (A)'s. It was 1st Plt, "D" Co and 1st Plt, "C" Co which had (A)1's and landed on Beach Orange 3.
