Does anyone have a decent acrylic paint mix for the greyish color found in later war German AFV interiors? Thanks

I wasn’t aware that there was one. My understanding is that after the 1944 switch to bare red primer, Elfenbein was reintroduced for the area above sponson height. Where was the grey used?

apparently upto 1943 or 44, below the sponson was painted either a "blue-gray" or according to David Byrden's website a green-gray (RAL7009). Mig Ammo has blue-grey in their interiors set, ryefield also calls out blue-grey in both their Tiger I early and Panther G kits.

Do you mean the greenish/blueish/gray sort of color that you typically see on transmissions and that sort of thing?

I custom mixed my own color when I did the Trumpeter 1/16 Panzer IV.

I started by combining Tamiya dark yellow with X3 royal blue to get the base color, then lightened with white to get the right brightness.

Then tweaked that base color by adding small amounts of XF-22 RLM Grey, XF-23 light blue, and XF-65 field gray.

PS: Google search Humbrol 115; that has been mentioned by many as a good match for the transmission color I am talking about.
