This is an old kit ESCI but deserves finally to come out I hope they made improvements with photo cutting or other! It is hoped that eventually they will certainly release the series of motorcycles including the famous kettengraden and two figures: a marine or GI's (memory) and a panzergrenadier

I had the old ESCI kit back in the day and this looks nothing like it. The engine is much better defined and so are the other details. It is nice to see Italeri finally come out with an improved version of this Kubelwagen kit.

That engine will need some scratching to complete if you want to show it off, which you should at this scale. I can easily see the fuel line is missing as well as the wiring for the voltage regulator on top of the generator.

...including the famous kettengraden...
I believe you mean 'kettenkraftrad'.

Italeri did release a 1/9 Kettenkraftrad (7404) in 2017.

Nice to see large scale soft skins. Hope this is a sign of more good things to come in larger scale. I'm talking more !/24 and !/16 scale. Give me a few more years and my eye's will be ready for 1/9 and 1/6 scale.

It's been over 30 years since my Dad gave away my Esci Kubel while I was elsewhere.....but this looks very much like it to me. I'm only guessing, but I think these are the same old molds. Those "rubber like" seats look very familiar to me.

Most people would simply call it a "Kettenkrad" and be done with it. A Kubel this big would make the GI Joe fans happy, that's for sure. I'd rather build Rye Field's new Puma. The resulting dio would be so much easier to handle.

This is a re-release of the ESCI kit.
Parts are laid out exactly the same on the sprues.
Cheers,

Continuing with the kettenkrad topic, Dragon
did a release of it with a Gebirgsjaeger driver and Revell of Germany did it a number of years back as well. Have one of those just haven't gotten around to building it yet.

The color of the plastic apart, I can't see any differences between the Esci original of 1976 vintage and the Italeri "new" kit:

The original Joes are 1/6 scale, so this would be a touch small for them.
