US Army ODA in Afghanistan, early phases of OEF (2001).

Figures from Evolution Miniatures and Stalingrad (Verlinden head), weapons and assorted accessories from Live Resin, backpacks from Black dog. All more or less modified...

Way cool. And the squatting Afghan? Which of those companies you mentioned does that one?

I really like this. One question - which way is the barrel of the M4 pointing in the hands of the standing SF troop. I can't see for sure in the photos provided. I served in OEF in 2008. Always being mindful of "barrel orientation" was drilled into us. This is something I am especially aware of as I work on my OIF and OEF subjects. Keep up the great work.

Nice diorama. Good composition and very interesting subject matter in regards to utilizing a SATCOM antenna off the mule.

Cheers,

Very realistic for the time period! The paint jobs look great, especially on the mule.

+1

...by the way it's not a mule, it's a donkey (as well as in the ref. pics.).

Just a clarification (as per request), the two ARs pictured are one Mk12 Mod0 (rifle from Trumpeter, parts from Live Resin: Leupold Mk4 scope, AN/PEQ-2A, OPS INC #12TH Model SPR Suppressor and a scratch built VERSA-POD bipod) and one M4A1/M203 (rifle/gl, TA31 ACOG, Knights NT-4 QD suppressor and AN/PEQ-2A all from Live Resin).
