Okay, I've looked through a few textbooks and tried to find information on the internet, and most of it has been unhelpful for the question I was hoping to find an answer to. I'm currently making an SS Panzer IV J and I wanted to know the colour scheme for German tanks in France. When the Germans first invaded France, were their SS Panzers in Blitzkrieg colours or were they already in the multi coloured camouflage of the 1944 D-day opperations? If anyone knows the colours and could give me pictures or references I'd be REALLY grateful.

Mortis.A panzer IV Ausf J would have a dark yellow base coat The camo colors would be red brown and or dark green The J came out in 1944? so it wouldn't be the panzer gray of the blitzkrieg campaigns
Dark yellow was introduced in Feb.1943 If you can,get Panzer colors It is a 3 book set on painting and markings of German tanks
