Too bad the kit has it's issues as described above.

BTW, although the interior features the four fuel tanks and holding frame, the TC turret has no interior at all, no flame gun or M73 breaches, vision blocks, nada...... Since the cargo hatch can be left open, as well as the ramp and separate ramp troop door, seems that another potential opportunity for detail was missed.

While I wait for mine to arrive I've been studying the kit instructions and parts photos and reading comments. Really disappointing. I noticed the trim vane is also missing. While the marking schemes for two versions are museum pieces that lack the trim vane I'm sure the omission was a sloppy carry over from the IDF M113....like the IDF cans.

There is also supposed to be some type of control panel which looks to be missing as well. When looking inside from the rear, It should be in front and to the right of the tanks.

Jim, have you, or Johnny B. (hey, what's up, long time no talk) tried fitting the interior parts/turret into/onto any of the other M113 kits on the market? I've got a bunch of M113s from Tamiya, Academy and AFV Club that I can use as a more detailed donor.

I found some neat pics of a totally tricked out M132 so I'm kinda excited to get started on this one.

No show today and no email response from Dragon USA Online yet. At least tell me it's delayed instead of silent treatment for 11 days...

I've ordered about a half dozen+ times from Dragon and when they needed to cancel an item in an order they did it pretty quickly. I think I've also gotten the FedEx notices from them within a day of the packages arrival. However, I've never received any email responses from them. I'm still hopeful mine will show up any day now.

We're in this together James, keep the faith!

Can you share the pics? I too noticed the interior omissions and have been unsuccessfully looking for some good interior pics. I found the control panel and some hose/wire routing diagrams, but none of the turret interior.

No, I didn't try mixing the parts. I had already decided to make the best of the Dragon kit in an out-of-the-box category entry, and have gone about 70% on the kit work.

It would be nice to see shapeways or similar devise the interior details of an M132, so that they could be used with a more accurate base M113 kit such as Academy or AFV Club. I purchased a drivers station for the M110 gun and think the M132 couldn't be too much more difficult, just more pieces.

It's a start.

Just had a visit from FEDEX a few minutes ago. Ordered on 24 Dec, arrived today.

Let’s see if I can do this from my phone... the photos are covered in water marks, you’ll have to scroll around on the link. It’s Basically an M132 with belly armor, extended drivers controls, a mounted M60 with ACAV shield and .50 cal. There are a couple other photos on the eBay listing for the cd. One may be an M132 with the floats. I’m debating buying the cd.

No joy. 1st one goes to a blank page. Second goes to a ad for the CD, but no pics.

Sherb, I opened up my FLW images (taken just in December at FLW), and yes indeed, same registration number on the hull as on the box art.

Also with no trim vane mounted or control linkage, like the kit and directions. The shorter rubber skirts didn't make it into the kit tho.

No DS gun mantlet cover. The headlight guards are of a thinner design, with a stabilizing top bar as part of each assembly (actual M132), one on right side, two on left.

I guess this is an early M113 model feature.

Yes, those are the same style of headlight brush guards that are on the FLW M132 museum piece.

So, I just got the kit and from what I can see I will be using the interior parts and putting them in one of my other M113s. For the sale price I can do that. Anyone needing the long tub and other parts let me know. Wayne

I just opened mine, too. They forgot the exhaust in the instructions... and by the looks of the sprue map I don't see one aside from the Israeli extended version. Or am I missing something?

Well, I found it unusual to follow the instructions telling you to remove the molded-on engine cover strut from the roof, and replace it with a separate part that look the same.

The more I look at it, the more I figure I'm gonna take the route others have suggested - take the parts I need and put them in another M113 hull. Glad I got it when it was on sale...
