MERRY CHRISTMAS and happy holidays all.
I am in the process of buliding Tamiya's LRDG command vehicle and was just wondering what the 1/35 scale length of the radio set aerial would be?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

These vehicles were equipped with a no:11 wireless and had either
a 6ft or a 9ft antenna.
Cheers,

Cheers,
It is my understanding antennae sections came in 4ft. lengths. Eight, twelve and sixteen being the norm used.
I could be wrong.

On a side note, the LRDG also used an horizontal antenna (Wyndon Aerial) :

But isn't that a stationary 'skywave' setup. Not a vehicle mounted antennae.

I've just mentioned the Wyndon Aerial to broaden the antenna choice
The lengths of the vehicle-mounted antennas used with the N°11 set are given in the two linked pages (6ft or 9ft )

Thanks everyone for you help and information. Ive opted to go with the 6ft aerial. While im building this out of the box after having a few years off its more about re-kindling the techniques than the accuracy for this one. I must say the old kit has held its age well

Been a while between posts but heres a progress shot of the command car so far. Still have some details to finish off and to add some more weathering
I have stowage from Value Gear to add to the back. It is currently primed and just drying before painting.

So here is the vehicle finished with all the stowage added and weathered. Any feedback or comments appreciated
