Building the AFV Club kit and hit a small snag. The instructions are kind of vague as to where the mud flaps attach and I skimmed through half a dozen on line TM's but no luck. Has anyone built this kit and can offer some insights?

Not sure if this will help or not; but here's a picture of the one I built many, many years ago. Maybe you can zoom in on the are behind the back tire...

Thanks much. That should help get it figured out. There just doesn't seem to be a positive attachment point for the flap and support braces.

As the photos above clearly show there should be mud flaps both in front of and behind the rear tires. Exactly where these flaps should attach to the AFV Club underbody framing will probably have to be via some sort of a freelanced structure/bracket created by the model builder.

That’s my fallback option. Was looking in the TM drawings to see if they showed the real thing. Probably not too overly complex.

Some Plastruct "L" shape should do the trick.

Question: Does the AFV Club kit include all four mud flaps or just the two at the rear?

All four. The front left is shortened to clear the spare wheel.

Good deal.
I was going to talk about how to build those stamped metal mud flaps in case you needed two more.
