There is a 'first-look' review of this kit at www.perthmilitarymodeling.com. It looks to be another good release for Tamiya. Rather late, compared to DML, but probably an easier build. Has markings for Korea M-26, but is closer to being a T-26E3 than a M-26. Also features a 'working' suspension(sprung). Other than missing casting numbers ( which can be obtained off of any new Academy kits' tree ) it looks very nice.

Thanks Doc, I just saw the Academy T-26 yesterday while looking for the M3 'Honey'.....looked good, thought about getting it , but have never been a big fan of the beasty. Maybe if it had actually replaced the Sherman like it was supposed to, I might feel differently.
My failing I'm sure.

It is a shame that it was so delayed in hitting the battlefield. It could have saved many a US tanker late in the war. I already have the DML T26E3, so I probably won't be getting the Tamiya version any time soon. But it is nice to see Tamiya release a NEW US tank kit, instead of just releasing rehashed old kits( M4A3 and M4A3 105).

I just received word that my Tamiya M-26 is enroute from Hobby Link Japan. I also ordered the Honey from Intenet Hobbies for $25. I thought that is a steal.
Let you know how they look.
