I have been experimenting with chipping with acrylics. I have not been pleased with the results. Would enamel be easier to apply? I am applying over a light coat of future. It would seem to be easier to remove chips I am not satisfied with.

Are you talking about chipping technique using hairspray or chipping fluid?
If so the only way is acrylics,the first time I tried I used Vallejo model air and sometimes model air can have a rubbery finish when taking off the paint,so I would suggest using Tamiya XF paints or Mr Color paints as these are Solvent based acrylics and come off a lot easier.

If your chips are only going to be small then brush on chips with a 0 brush on high worn areas.
