There is no need for thinner it can be sprayed directly from the bottle by airbrush, at least I am doing so.
For other AMMO OF MIG paints I am using their thinner which is must.

By any means use the MiG/AMMO thinner if you feel necessary, other acrylic thinners would thin it but it won't dry (or harden to be exact). It is true that it needn't be thinned but sometimes it doesn't hurt to add a drop or two of thinner.
