I just looked this title up and I am jazzed to find out it will be available as a Kindle book! This is the direction I think all modelling book publishers should head. Once a book is published electronically it can never be out of stock. Thank you Steven Zaloga and New Vanguard! We all miss out on a ton of titles due to financial reasons when they are first released. Then we can't afford to buy them later on eBay once the title becomes hard to find.
Regards,
Eric Buchanan
Edit:
I guess the New Vanguard books have been coming out in Kindle format for a while. There are a few titles available this way.

There's also a new one on the way from David Doyle.

Hi Peter - I picked up a copy just a couple of days ago. The book is basically a series of full-colour walkarounds, light on technical and development history. It's intended as a companion volume to Pen and Sword's previous book on the Abrams which covers development.

This one has a detailed walkaround of XM1; a brief overview of the IPM1; a walkaround of an M1E1 prototype; quite an extensive walkaround of early M1A1s (including photos of a very early M1A1 in a museum - I'm not sure which - which lacks the circular CITV base on the forward turret roof); an overview of mine ploughs and engineering equipment; a walkaround of an M1A2 SEP; a brief overview of the ABV; and finally in-action photos from the Gulf War up to the present day.
Photos are good quality and the captions are informative. There's not exactly a shortage of good Abrams reference out there, but I'd recommend this as another one to add to the pile.

Thanks, Ed.
Yes, there's no shortage of M1A2 reference books now.
I miss Concord Publications of Hong Kong. Their books often had photos of armor "in the field" taken firsthand by the journalist(s) there. Concord went out of business several years ago.
