Hi all, i expermineted on making gillie suits the way we ake camo nets.
things you need for jungle gillie suit.
1. figure to place it on.
2.medical bandage gauze.
3. mixed herbs
4. matt green and matt brown paint.
5. paint brush
6. solution of water and white glue (50:50)
steps.
1. cut bandage gauze to the shape of the body .
2. strectch it to make it more net like, and to make it apear worn and torn.
3. make little hole in the middle of it, so you can fit head of figure through it.
4. place the gauze into the solution of white glue and water ( 50:50)
5. place gauze on figure , depending on what figure you, and what posisition, do it to yur desire, in my case mine was laying down. ( sorry no pics)
6. make it look like it fits to the body showing the curves and joints of the body through the net.
7. let iot dry for 30 mins. then come back and paint it to desired effect, in my case for jungle i did splotchers of brown and green all over, i included top paint is face like camo make up.
8. white paint is still wet apply mixed herbs.
9. when herbs are dry apply something that will let it stick and stay. eg,,, hair spray, spray adhesive, whatever.....
10. let your finished gillie suit sniper, or soldier dry and heal for 30 mins.
and enjoy..............
hope this helps in the great world of modeling
