Does anybody have one of these to back up all that they claim. I was just reading about it, now it didn't say how fine of line it gives, but, it did claim you could just about spray any desired material thru it you want, plus there is no other airbrush on the market today that can have the needle removal, and replacement any faster then the Badger 155 Anthem.
To what I understand it is just about indestructible, plus the most simplest to maintain aibrush, and for only $49.95, it sounds like a pretty good brush, and that is delivered.

Hi Major Straightedge
I own an Badger 155 Anthem. Had it for about four years, and it is a fine all-round AB, but not perfect. No brush can do everything well. You must be careful of the needle's tip, it's exposed and very easily bent! After using this AB for awhile, I found that I needed to buy a second for making very fine lines. My choice for this was Tamiya's HG-SF gravity feed. Excellent for fine lines, and a bit costly, but you can't painting a whole model with it, it would take forever! And that's where the Anthem comes in. It has great coverage. I was very lucky to find a Badger 150 in the wood box, a little dirty, but everything was there, (three-tips and needles for $2.00 at a yard sale. "How's That-!!" So now I own three AB's now and can do any thing. If I keep practicing.
Well good luck with your decision.
And happy modeling!

I guess for two bucks it could be a airbrush anything and I'd buy it, that is the whole thing, money, I've been waiting on either a Iwata HP B or C, and I was wondering about this Anthem as a brush to try the risky stuff to put thru it. I wished I could find a Anthem for two bucks, I wouldn't haft to second guess that one. I thought 50 sounded pretty good.
I appreciate you getting back to me Tek2, there I was thinking that this brush was fairly new to the market, but if you had it 4 years and who knows how long the one before then it has been around a while. Many thanks for filling me in.

It all depends on what you are going to use it for. I have a friend that uses a Badger 200 with a fine needle and tip for 98% of the painting that he does....this includes very fine lines down to a pencil line. Alot of it has to do with how thin your paint is also....with any airbrush and thinner than normal paint you can go down to thinner lines than normal.

Personally I use a Badger 200 for most things....but I still use my Badger 350 for one color paint jobs where I don't have to be as neat, or need as fine of a line. I also picked up an Aztec 4709 for like $50US, with about 8 or 9 tips....needed a really good cleaning....but looks as good as new now....only thing is...it didn't come with an airline and doesn't use the same airlines as a Badger (which I don't know why....I guess Testors just want to be different), so I am waiting to get it as well....which I got a new one in the box for $1....both off of Ebay.

Even though the Aztek may get the brunt of the use once I get the airline...I would probably still use the Badger 200 and 350 for other things.

By the way...if you were interested in a Badger 200, you can probably pick one up new for about $50US.

Got a 155. Like it a lot. The only problem I had was when it got dropped an as usual, it hit tail down. This drove the needle through the sleeve and put the brush out of action for months until I found a new one. Now I see those parts everywhere, But when you need one...NO!!!! For less that $50.00, I would go for it.
