Terrific. Which MB set?

That would be the set they titled Take One More Grenade, it's four paratroops preparing to enter and clear a house; they're equipped for the right time frame. It was just released and popped up out of the blue on Scale Hobbyist's site so I jumped on it since we hadn't gotten it at the store yet.

I can be in with one of these:

Thing is, one has a tank for a base, and the other, maybe some rocks it seems!

Which is allowed in the campaign?

Does the Ranger set include a grappling hook ? It does not appear to. THAT would seem a good candidate for a 3-D printed item, as opposed to many of the things I've seen on that thread, especially recently.

I’ll work up the rules shortly. I’m happy to have it include vehicles/tanks. My main goal is to focus on the figure painting part of it. Both of those sets would be perfect for the campaign. Cheers, Chris

Excellent! I understand the focus is the figures but I know how to pose the tank crew! (Plus an 'excuse' to build a zimmerit Tiger. )

I'm not sure how best to show the Rangers but I am open to suggestions!

18Bravo I did not see a grappling hook in the set

The reason I mentioned the grappling hooks - I'd show them preparing to assault the cliffs at Pointe du Hoc. The box art seems to support their use for just that.

I am willing to enter, my very first though so... I will do my best.

Those are my entries, but no tank and only one of the wagons.

Yes I agree. I'm going with the Rangers as there are more posing possibilities than with the rather static tank crew and that fits in better with the 'improve your figures' theme.

Some things I am looking to improve:

Dynamic posing, but still realistic looking.

Hands gripping weapons properly. (Not sure why I never addressed this before but it always bothered me!)

Clothing creases/shadowing, but still keeping things realistic - I don't want it to look like a painting by a old master.

As there is interest in vehicles as well as figures here’s my idea for the campaign:

1. Submissions must include at least one figure. In other words, AFVs and aircraft are welcome, but must include a figure.
2. Any scale
3. Up to 25% started is acceptable as an entry.
4. One photo at start of campaign, at least two in progress, and a finished photo to complete the campaign.
5. Start date March 1, 2019
6. End date August 31, 2019 (to coincide with the end of the Normandy Campaign).

Let me know if I’ve missed something.

Cheers

Chris

Hello there

Count me in too. I could really do with some figure painting practice as I tend to avoid it if possible…

Cheers

i'd set up the campaign page for you guys but i'm a moderator for the sci-fi section and not the armour/figures

What’s an OP? Is that me? If it is I’ve never set up a campaign before so I’m not sure how one takes this next step. I’m game though
