In looking for a color for a British radio antenna for an M3 Grant I noticed that a lot of models lack antenna. So the question is do you put an antenna on your model or not and if not why not?
Personally I put and antenna on them if they carried a radio. I will admit it makes handling them a pain and any display case gets big quick.
PS
I am still looking for the color of the antenna on a Grant... black looks funny on the desert color tank.. Tan???? help.. thanks

Add an antenna, but don't fit it until after you've finished the model.

If you are careful with a drill, you can make a centred hole in the base and fit the antenna without glue so that it can be removed for travel and storage. Just make sure that if modelling a wagon with a 19 set, you replace them in the right mounts (short in the stalk, longer in the rubber cone).
I think they were issued in khaki green but could be overpainted in theatre - some were striped to break up the outline when hull or turret down.

Love it, might be a project some day. Though I would add a guy on the ground handing the crew a field phone since the tank can not get hold of anybody on the 200 radios.
