Filter or Oil paint weathering

I used Model Master Acryl Sand (FS33531) to paint an Abrams and Bradley. They both appear too much on the brown side. Maybe it is because I preshaded with black. I was wondering how I could adjust the tint of the mode to more a more yellow appearance without airbrushing.

Would an ochre filter work or should I try and weather with oils.

Both are viable options. I have been working with filters a lot lately and find them to be very useful, but mixing my own filters with oils can be easier to control the tone.
Ochre would work to warm up the tone, and may be perfect depending on what you're looking for. Hard to say without seeing pics and how dark the base tone looks.

Thanks! I Will try to post a pic. This is the mig filter for light sand. It seems a little dark.

I really do not see a filter with a yellow tint.

Blain...based on past experience...any filter done regardless of the color, it will turn the model darker...hence..its best to start with the base color lighter...
