I really like the look of these; the WW2 Crew figures will look pretty good on just about anything from the appropriate era, but the black-clad ones could be posed well on, say, a Hobby Boss Vickers Medium (though I feel the helmeted figure is probably restricted to early WW2).
The desert-type figures will also lend themselves easily enough to Post War in say, Centurions, Saladins, Dingoes, Ferrets for example, in Aden or anywhere else in the Persian Gulf, Cyprus, Libya and so on. And of course, if immersed within a turret, in shirt-sleeve order for just about anywhere up to 80s - thereafter the berets might need a bit of modification.
The Afghan figures also look interesting but I'm not too sure just yet if I'm up to replicating MTP in 1:35!
I must ensure I get some of these.

Those Operation Herrick soldiers look great at least on drawing. I hope molded figures are great too.

Both sets look great. Didn't they also announce a different modern British army figure set...or did I dream that?

Paul: you are correct an earlier set has been announced and I expect to see them soon.
