Were the original M2 Bradleys done in olive drab. The Academy M2 kit calls for olive drab but in the pictures I've seen it looks like some shade of green but not quite olive drab. Any recommendations in Tamiya line would be helpful. Thanks.

Google M2 Bradley in Europe, you’ll get tons of olive drab pics

Not OD, but Forrest Green.

Thanks
Thanks

Yes! Forest green, forgot all about that color, didn’t Testors make forest green at one time??

Hello,
I have found Tamiya's Field Gray(Grey) to work quite well for a bit of a weathered forest green. The current NATO green seems to fit the bill for a fresh paint job.
Respectfully,
Allen

3rd ID received their Abrams and Bradleys sometime in 1984. Had a chance to see them in Wildflecken in Feb85. Neither of the division's new vehicles had MERDC at the time. They were painted FS 34079 Dark Green, not Olive Drab. Testors 1710 is the color you were thinking of.

Hey Dennis! How've you been? You know the old saying about Kid Twist, "The canary could sing; but, he couldn't fly."

FS 34079 Dark Green, not Olive Drab
That's correct, but FS34079 was also officially known as "Army Forest Green", so those who called for "forest green" were right too
FS34079 is available from many hobby paint manufacturers, as it is a common color for USAF aircraft camouflage (SEA scheme).
