Hi guys,
Built the new Tamiya Sheridan Viet Nam.
Not the usual go together no problem kit.The fit is not good for some parts, some very tiny parts, not a fan of individual tracks but at least some are long lengths and go together pretty good.A lot of pre-painting should be done that won,t work after full build.A little too many parts for the figures.
I didn't bother with drilling the tiny holes on the turret.Just cut the pins from the back and glued them in place.Mostly OOTB.Added stowage is Value Gear and microphones are wire and styrene strip.
Tom

Tom, Nice job. The kit looks very detailed. That driver looks uncannily like Samuel L. Jackson ("what's in your wallet!"). My only comment would be about those two WP smoke grenade launchers on the left side of the turret. The grenade launchers on the M551 are fixed at a specific angle, and should be uniform in appearance around the front of the turret. Those two in the rear look out of place.

Looks great, I have this kit but waiting to get the Tamiya etch set for it. Can you elaborate on areas that didn’t fit so well??

I'm correctly working on this kit. I have completed the running gear and tracks, and have mated the upper and lower hulls. So far, everything has fit together like puzzle pieces.
