I was painting the holy trinity of german armor colors using life color acrylic paint. I had the painted items in my laundry room . I also had a set of unworn woodland camo pants and noticed how close the color match was between the Lifecolor paints and the woodland camo colors. The actual match seems closer than the picture shows.

Funny how that works out, right? It was quite a mental hurdle for me to get over using a "German" color on a US vehicle, but once I did, my life was much easier.

Tamiya Field Grey is a close match to some modern Soviet/Russian greens.

I would just paint my modern woodland camo soldiers using these paints. Just a little weathering and you are spot on.
