I am going to try out Mission Model paints and want to be sure I get the right OD for U.S. WWII armor. I am thinking it is MMP-025 US Army Olive Drab FS 34088 but want to be sure. They have several faded OD options, but I am looking for whichever one would be accurate for the base coat. Thanks.

Can't tell you which MMP is the "correct" color, but I can advise you not to sweat the match too much as long as the color is reasonably close. By the time you get finished with the weathering process you won't be able to tell what the original base color was. Been building and competing for more years than I care to remember and have never been criticized because some color wasn't right. Were it me I would probably choose one of the faded OD colors and go from there. I'm sure others will chime in. Good luck.

Thanks all. I emailed Mission Models and they said the same thing. I appreciate the responses.
