Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has more detailed info about this photo than what I can find online. What I know is it is Guderian in his halftrack next to an armored column sometime during the 1939 Invasion of Poland. Looking for the date and place if possible. Much appreciated!

Here's the original Bundesarchiv caption :
"Polen, an der Brahe.- Panzersoldaten auf deutschen Panzer I und Panzer II neben mittlerem Schützenpanzer (Sd.Kfz. 251/3; mit General Heinz Guderian?); 3.9.1939 [Herausgabedatum?]"
= "Poland, on the Brda river.- Panzer soldiers on German Panzer Is and Panzer IIs, along with a medium Schützenpanzer half-track (Sd.Kfz. 251/3; with General Heinz Guderian?); 3 September 1939 [Date of release?]"
Welcome to Armorama BTW...

Yes, welcome, and meet our unofficial librarian, "Frenchy." Henri-Pierre is like a mother: nothing is ever really lost until a mother can't find it. Nothing is ever really inexplicable unless H-P can't find a reference.

I've just copy-and-pasted the Bundesarchiv image number (visible at the bottom of the picture) in Google and came across the Wikipedia page displaying it with the captions...
Thanks for the kind words Bill
