Hi!!!

GREAT PICS!!!

You included some GREAT pics of Australian Army Armor and AFVs!!! Great shots of the Aussie Army camo schemes, as well!!!

IMO, you are STILL WELL WITHIN the boundaries of this site. One has to sign in with "KITMAKER" to get into "ARMORAMA", am I correct?

When I read the title I knew there'd be armor photos. I did an air show in '99 or '00 at NAS Ft. Worth and we brought an M109A5 and several MG's for the kids to steal training brass from.
Great photos!

We, meaning my two buddies Jim and Pete, their kids and I, used to go to the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum for their annual "D-Day Weekend" Air Show and Reenactments- GREAT STUFF! ALL kinds of WWII Warbirds, WWII Armor, AFVs, Soft-skins, AND REALISTIC reenactors! I took TONS of pictures! There was also a "flea-market", where one could buy virtually anything (legal) which was WWII-related that money could buy! I DID at one time have plans of going and wearing my various US/Allied and German Uniforms, but I lost the lower part of my right leg in 2010, so traipsing around all day on that HUGE airfield was out for me. Prior to that, I always had my two (old technology, non-digital Minolta Maxxum 5000, and a Canon Rebel EOS) cameras along with me! And the food in the smaller "Mom & Pop"-style restaurants of this lovely Amish country was just SUPERB!

I'll probably be doing that soon myself. I purchased an MC-1, a reserve parachute, and an M1943 uniform last November with the intent of jumping at Normandy for the 75th anniversary of D Day, but Army commitments may interfere. I'm still going to start jumping with a local group though.

I like how someone (probably enlisted) has fiddled with the lettering on the truck. That's WACK, man.

Kitmaker is the website or network, Armorama is one of the focus sites within the website, if you hit the "Browse Sites" button (top left corner) you can see the full list of focus sites.

Great images, Avalon is a wonderful airshow plus lots of bonus displays. Living in Melbourne I have been able to get there 5 times over the years.

Cheers, D

Hi,

Thanks for all the interesting pictures!
I think the helicopter pictures would also be appreciated in the Rotary Wings forum (another forum on the Kitmaker network):
http://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewforum&forum_id=121&page=1
There are also other specialised aircraft forums in case you have more aircraft pictures
