My 2 Cents worth.
Everybody just sees a burnt out tank, they forget some mother, Wife, Child has lost their Son, Husband or Father.
War is HELL not something to laugh at.
If you want something to laugh at, Laugh at the idiot the americans have for president.
I build armor models to remember the sacrifices made, not to glorify the stupidity of WAR.

On that note you might want to remember that "idiot" president you seem to hate it trying to get us out of the wars the last presidents got us in so that no more sons and fathers have to die... whos the idiot again?
How about this one as well.. this is a modeling site.. if you want to bash polliticians go to a political site and do it there. Lets keep the drama here to how bad is the new black label realease or the like.

I'm SORRY, I guess I'm the stooped one.

Gentlemen, please.
Keep politics outside of this forum
I'll be tempted to join the debate otherwise
or lock down the thread.
I wholeheartedly agree on the 'war is hell'-statement even if I have never been close to one.
That is why I build my models as three dimensional colourised blueprints. Nothing shot to pieces, nothing to suggest that some poor soul died in there ....

How many times are we assailed on our screens re famine this, war is hell that - someone dreamed this up and it was actually funny.
Please do lock it down Robin - thank God you see it is for what it is.

Almost made me as sad as dog videos, for the same reason; I can't have one of those either.
If I had the funds and space, I'd love to adopt one* as a Gate Guardian. A choice of early Chieftain, a late Centurion... In celebration of never having to say 'Vorsprung duerch Technik' nor, for that matter, 'Teknologia dla Progressa'.
*In case anyone thought I meant dogs, well yes; perhaps a Wolfhound, a Husky, or even - though unlikely - a Hound of Canaan. But my wife collects stray cats.

I would go for something smaller that I could use in the winters when the forest road to the summerhouse can't be used by normal cars. Preferably some kind of six-wheeler ... maybe an M20??
Rumbling down the road in a Centurion would be OK as well even if it would crush our forest road completely ....

An ASU-57 will be the best things to be adopted.
So bad though that they are all adopted, or scrapped because their average age is kind of short.

Funny the reaction of folks-- I saw it as nothing but humor pointed at those who restore vehicles, not as a sacrilege against those who served and died. Many of those vehicles have been simply abandoned as scrap-- some never saw a battlefield. I wholehearted support their restoration-- in that manner we can honor the memory of those who served--and died in them. I saw this as just a fun bit of humor--no more or less than Willie and Joe. Same goes for aircraft, and the preservation of ships. I served for 30 years-- believe me, I understand the cost of war, like many of you do. That's part of the reason I build too.
